Crossroads (Which fork do I use for salad?)

Hey yall,

Despite the title this isn't going to be a purposefully humorous post. I have some very real, serious decisions to make in the next couple weeks/month. As many of you know may or may not know, my title at Christ for the City is STI, Short Term Intern. My stay here in TJ with CFCI isn't meant to be permanent, and to be frank, it hasn't been cheap to stay down here. One or two months is fine but it is coming to the point where I need to find a source of financial support to stay here or a way of making making and a place to live. But despite that, I still want to stay and accomplish some things. The Lord has placed on my heart the desire to see some things through down here. If it truly was Him putting them on my heart I know that He will find a perfect solution for me to stay down here in TJ. But if that isn't in the cards, I have a couple other potential options. I am hoping to stay down in the SoCal/TJ area to continue being used by the ministry down here. If I move back to the US I would love to stay in Cali and be close to the border where I can still go down to help out. So if you guys could keep me in prayer about what the Lord would have me do. I'm not going to go into detail here about my potential options, but I'm hoping that will prompt you, my readers, to ask me what specifically you can pray about. God is great and will continue to be so despite anything, and I have been blessed beyond reason to be partnered with Lo Mejor Del Trigo. It is 100% clear this is exactly what God had for me when I moved down here. So please pray for me and the ministry.

Love you guys,
Jwash

Slightly humorous deviations / Comedy corner:

 - I miss cheese. They have cheese down here. But it tastes and has the consistency of rubber to me. Probably the only real thing I miss about WI besides my family.
 - Just kidding. I also miss Arbys.
 - Having gone back to the US twice in the last three weeks, I find it odd/weird to be back among Americans.
 - I was included in the "Latino" crowd during a joke while we visited Mariners Church in Irvine, CA. Apparently I look Mexican to Americans in SoCal?
 - I find it fun being referred to as "gringo". Some may find it insulting, but I wear it like a badge of honor. Yes I'm a gringo. No you aren't a better soccer player than me just because I'm American. Jokes on you.
 - Mexican slang cracks me up. And Mexicans are apparently like black people when it comes to slang. Lots of words with double meanings. Who knew?
 - I met another mixed guy at Mariners church who referred to me as his "mulatto brother" when we were talking about being mixed in a meeting. Instant respect! He knows what's good.
 - I got food poisoning for the first time in Mexico on Monday. I slept on a bathroom floor like a boss. Be jealous.
 - I miss Korean food. We passed a Korean bbq in Cali, and I wanted it so badly. I still want it badly.
 - They have not been successful in finding my Mexican soul mate yet. Multiple people are trying to find her/introduce me to her.

Thanks for tuning in!
